Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Thought Circuit (st-dba.com) is the personal blog of Dr. Shane Turner. This policy explains what information the site collects and how it is used. The short version: this site collects almost nothing, and what it does collect is never sold or shared for marketing.

Email Subscriptions

If you subscribe to new-post notifications, your email address is stored on this site using the MailPoet plugin. It is used for one purpose only: sending you an email when a new post is published. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list immediately.

Comments

If you leave a comment, the name, email address, and comment text you provide are stored so the comment can be displayed. Comments are moderated before they appear.

Technical Data and Cookies

Like nearly every website, this site’s hosting provider (GoDaddy) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance. The site itself does not run advertising or tracking pixels.

Embedded Content

Some posts embed content from other sites, such as YouTube videos or interactive widgets. Embedded content behaves as if you visited that site directly, and those providers may set their own cookies. Their privacy policies apply to that content.

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from email notifications at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. If you would like your subscription or comment data deleted, or want to know what data the site holds about you, send a note through the contact page and it will be handled promptly.

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
